Dr. Amanda Wiebke earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and is deeply committed to continuing education. Her advanced training includes oral surgery, with more than 40 hours of focused continuing education in surgical dentistry through a clinical course in Guatemala.
Dr. Wiebke has been actively involved in community outreach throughout her dental training and career. She has participated in the Iowa Mission of Mercy, providing free dental care to underserved populations, and has also gained international experience in exodontia and mission dentistry through service in Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. These experiences have shaped her compassionate approach to care and reinforced her desire to serve those with limited access to dental treatment.
Dr. Wiebke has a strong interest in cosmetic dentistry and pediatric dentistry. She enjoys the attention to detail involved in cosmetic care and the ability to directly enhance a patient’s smile and confidence. Working with children is especially meaningful to her, as she loves helping young patients develop positive early experiences with dentistry and build a strong foundation for lifelong oral health.
Dr. Wiebke believes in a patient-centered approach that prioritizes comfort, trust, and individualized care. She strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and at ease. Open communication and collaboration are central to her philosophy, and she makes it a priority to involve patients in their treatment planning so they feel informed and confident in their decisions.
Dr. Wiebke has always loved working with people. Knowing that dentistry can be intimidating for many, she is motivated by the opportunity to empathize with patients’ fears, build trust, and help them gain confidence in both their oral health and their smiles. She finds the most rewarding part of her work is guiding patients from a place of pain or anxiety to feeling comfortable, empowered, and proud of their smiles.
Outside of the office, Dr. Wiebke enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. Her hobbies include summiting 14ers, running, biking, skiing, baking, and going to the gym. Staying active is one of her favorite ways to recharge and maintain balance outside of the clinic.
